Vase No. 1 is Elsa Billgren’s first design object. We are proud that she chose to create it together with Orranäs Glasbruk. Vase No. 1 is a unique mouth-blown vase on a foot that suits most flowers and bouquets.

Each vase is handmade, making it unique and bearing traces of the craftsmanship. Small bubbles and slight marks from tools may be present.

”I have always dreamed of having the opportunity to design the perfect vase that I would like to have in my own home, and I am so happy that Orranäs Glasbruk and I are doing this together. Getting to work with skilled professionals and seeing my idea and vision come to life in their workshop is absolutely fantastic! The vase is a classic vase on a foot with a loop that gives it its unique feel, as each vase is one of a kind. I wanted to design a vase that feels both classic and modern and that suits all kinds of flowers all year round. Vase no. 1 got its name because it is the first vase I made and because I wanted to create a vase that feels natural and timeless, where the water you put in it becomes part of the beauty. I especially like it when it is filled with peonies, tulips, or amaryllis, and at home I move it around between the window, the tiled stove, and the coffee table. It is a wonderful feeling to hold mouth-blown quality glass in your hand in the form of this vase, which is a tribute to Swedish craftsmanship, flowers, and the seasons!” – Elsa Billgren
