Amy’s art is characterized by a playfulness and a naive seriousness, in which everyday objects, memories, and experiences can take on new and unexpected forms of expression. She often allows the inherent qualities of glass—its transparency, light, weight, and movement—to be an integral part of the narrative.

Her works can be both humorous and poetic, familiar and unfamiliar. An everyday memory can become a sculpture, a simple form can take on new meaning, and the materiality of glass can change how we view something we thought we already knew.
