Some plants have the ability to absorb and transform environmentally harmful substances. These are known as phyto-plants. Sunflowers like cadmium, willows like lead and lupines prefer arsenic. Three of the substances that used to be present in glass production and which in some places can still be hidden in old industrial land. Today, glassworks work with completely different substances and have better knowledge of environmental aspects.
But the park is also a place for play, walking, relaxation and activities. There are a number of glass objects on display. These include the beautiful and magnificent glass art, the “Flames” collection, designed by our glass master Amy Krüger and former master glassblower Johan Nilsson. Flames is available in different sizes, colors and expressions. A smaller version of the Master Collection is available for purchase in the shop.
