Lennart Chytraeus (born 1952) is a Swedish ceramicist and glass artist with a long background as assistant to Bertil Vallien. In addition to his ceramic foundation, he has built up a strong glass design language in his own series-produced art at Orranäs Glassworks in Orrefors. His works are characterized by symbolism and rhythmic, figurative expressions - often with a philosophical dimension, as in the Wheel of Life series or the elegant Grail works. Chytraeus experiments with the shape and surface of glass, creating visually strong, narrative objects.
